Anything 1080i/60fps will come out 30fps. Can't seem to figure out how to fix (29/59 bug related). 720p/60fps lools great converted, though.

You don't need any conversion software - wtv is an mp4 file, just change the .file extention to mp4 - filename.wtv to filename.mp4

Depends on what your input source is. WMC just takes the source and puts it a wtv/dvr-ms wrapper. My source is OTA via 2 hdhomerun tuners. 1 creates mp2 (straight ota, uncompressed), the other converts it to compressed mp4. In both cases inserted into a wtv wrapper.

I've used MceBuddy for years as well with good success. Once you get it configured for your use it is totally hands free/automatic.
