What happened to the topic: Why moving away from WMC will be tough? It was over in The Green Button Lounge. Now it is gone.

I'll restore the thread asap, I can't promise an exact date right now - if you can pick up the topic here , we can always merge the two threads, not ideal I know. Sorry folks.

I must take the heat for this apologies. It happened through Tapatalk in error it seems. Restoring a phpbb thread is an arduous task that requires mounting a backup and futzing with tables so please hang in there.

I was just curious why it went away. Thanks for the explanation. I don't need the info restored, but others might.

well.. its two years since the OP and I think the topic is still worthy.

I'm still using WMC (w8.1) and i'll really have a tough time moving away. I don't plan on it any time soon. Thanks to the folks at EPG123 the guide issue is resolved...I just really love it. I use EMBY for my movie collection integration. The WMC head end is still the easiest to use. My Ceton (while a dead product) still works great..
My only worry is I don't have a spare Ceton card incase this one ever dies.
I haven't found anything to replace that.
