Festive Snow!

#1

Post by holidayboy » Tue Dec 01, 2020 2:34 pm

Hi all,

We've just turned on the festive TGB banner and snow effect - yep, it's that time of year already!

We did have a few complaints last year so we're trying a new add-in this year - if you find that your browser / PC is struggling with the snow effect then it can be disabled in the User Control Panel under "Board Preferences".

We've disabled the effect for mobile devices.

Let me know if you have any problems with general navigation - everything seems OK so far.

The smashable lights at the top of the website can also be turned off in the UCP if desired

At first I thought virus (virus was on my mind because I just updated signature). Then realized it was snow. Should pile it up at bottom of browser window while no user activity. And the longer it goes without user activity the heavier it snows.

First time I "smashed" them it made no sound for some reason. The next time I accidentally did it, it scared the Christmas lights out of me.
