Windows 11 cutting support for many CPUs
You can find the list of CPUs that Win 11 will support ( and possibly only allow install on?) here:

Windows 11 Requires TPM 2.0. My guess is these CPUs are the ones that have it built in.

Looks like it will support older CPUs as well with TPM 1.2. MS just doesn't let you know.

The advice has been updated again to state that TPM 2.0 really is the minimum requirement.

Ya gotta love Steve Gibson... He knows the shenanigans Microsoft is up to.

This is the same crap they pulled when Intel/MSFT announced 6th Gen CPUs would be last gen that works on Windows 7. It's designed to sell CPUs and Windows licenses.

Well, I'm in no hurry to switch to 11 anyway. I'll probably sit it out like I did Windows ME, 8.0, and 8.1.
I've pretty much "frozen" all my Windows-based PC/Workstation/Server builds to either Server 2019 or Windows 10 LTSC 2019 (1809 build), both of which have "mainstream" support through 2024 and "extended" support through 2029.
