Just swapped out my two infiniTV 4's tonight for the 6 (PCIe) version. What a simple and easy update. That was the smoothest swap from hardware to software to contacting Comcast and re-pairing the cableCARD I have had yet. Glad to see Comcast having their stuff together finally. Great deal on it as well thanks to this sale.

I bought the PCIe version as well. Right now it is sitting unopened across the room. I still need to get other parts, I just thought the deal was too good to pass up. I am having the most trouble deciding on a case, and how much I am willing to spend on that part. I need to keep this under the cost of buying a TiVo Roamio Pro with lifetime service. Not to difficult, but I am trying to get everything for as little as possible (stingy).

Nothing wrong with being on a budget. Been there.. Do that..lol
That's why I downsized as well I had 2 InfiniTV 4's in my case and had two cableCARDS and two outlet fees.. Removing the two cards and swapping to the one allows me to save on a CC fee and an outlet fee a month. Not a huge savings but every bit helps right?
6 Tuners is plenty and I added a Nvidia GTX dual slot card in there so I can now game on STEAM I launch from WMC and get better gaming graphics in 1080p. A total win/win IMO..
I am hoping I can recoup most of the cost selling off the InfiniTV 4's. The InfiniTV 6 seems to boot a little quicker than my 4's did I think its faster as it only has to acquire a network address for one card instead of two now so the spinning circle doesn't take near as long and it seems to tune the channels faster than the 4 as well. Very happy with my purchase so far.
Watch the sales around holidays if your on a budget and pick up the parts on sale or check ebay / craigslist for a case that might work.. never know where you can find a good deal.. Good luck with your build.
