That's because they do it on AWS servers in the cloud.

And not only does Tablo want your money, you must also have sufficient internet connectivity and data availability to send the thumbnails of your shows up to the cloud for processing.

Of course, you could just...use your own PC, use WMC for $25/year EPG fee, and have a whole lot more system to work with. Comskip or Showanalyzer, take your pick.

sigh. I remember when ReplayTV marked the commercials in real time, during recording. I really don't understand why we keep moving backwards in technology...
