TGB.tv donations drive !
First post
Hi all,
Just a quick post to see if any of our members are willing / able to make a small donation to help cover our running costs?
I completely understand that times are hard for a lot of folks and many people are unable to offer any financial support.
Please don't feel pressured into donating...

Hi, there is no suggested donation amount - any amount is much appreciated
Thank you to everybody that has donated

So, I had the setting show up origionally, but they disappeared after updating the firmware. I uninstalled the app from the PC and reinstalled it, but they still don't show up.
Any suggestions?
The Echo probably just needs to be restored, this same thing has happened to me. Just open a support...

EDIT:
Today we are pleased to make two announcements. First is that the Ceton Companion App will be available to ALL Windows Media Center (Windows 7) users. There is no need for new hardware and will simply plug in to your current HTPC. Second is that registration has opened for both the Ceton...

How does MOCA work? Do I need a MOCA adapter on my main HTPC, or can the Moca adapter on the Echo get an IP from my Verizon Fios router, like the STB's do?

A multi-room DVR based on Windows 7 embedded with extenders that will also work with 7MC! I just had a nerdgasim! Of course I need to see the price, but if it's at all reasonable then I'm all in.
Last post
Doubtful. But since WMC is exactly the same within Windows 7 and Windows 8 there is really no need to have it run Windows 8.
Not exactly the same. We FINALLY got that MUCH NEEDED CC button in the 2' UI!!!!!!

My guess would be an announcement about availability of Q and/or Echo. These units may be using Intel Ivy Bridge CPUs that are covered by NDAs until then.

Oh,I get it... Like, mind your own Ps and Qs. :slow:
I was thinking it should have been R, like pqrs..

Echo features for InfiniTV users?

Looks like Ceton has been updating their website. In the past, Ceton has said that there will be some special Echo features only available if you have the Ceton Q. Perhaps I am reading into this statement too much, but maybe they have decided to give us InfiniTV tuners access to some of the special...

It looks on the surface like they're going to give the Echo special features when connected to a Ceton-equipped Windows 7 box.
On the other hand, it could just be marketing claptrap. Have you ever looked at the recipes on the back of packages of name-brand food items? They'll tell you to use other...

Will Q handle the metadata problem, with multiple Q's

First post
I am wondering if Ceton is working on a fix for the Media Center bug that will prevent a Media Center PC or a second Q from properly display recordings made by another Q.
My preference is to probably have more than one Q rather than one Q and multiple Echo's. I would like to be able to view...
Last post
Well, the point is you're trying to solve a problem that (a) really doesn't exist today, but regardless (b) no one can say whether or not it exists on the Echo because the Echo isn't out yet.
In theory, because the Q will use Win7 FES, Ceton could patch anything they like to create any behavior...

Remote for Ceton Q & Echo
Replies: 23
by
epete » Fri Jan 13, 2012 1:38 am
First post
Just a quick note to Ceton. Please do not underestimate the design of your remote control for Q and Echo. The Remote must have programmable TV Power, Volume, Mute. In fact why not allow the entire remote to be programmable. Should support macros. Please use the same IR commands as the original MS...
Last post
Make it as cheap as possible so I won't use it since I have Harmony remotes so it will sit in a drawer as backup. But please make the functonality accessible via a TCP/IP protocol if at all possible.
