I completely understand that times are hard for a lot of folks and many people are unable to offer any financial support.
Please don't feel pressured into donating...

Thanks makryger you've been very helpful!

How Do I Delete Files From "Recorded TV" Using a BAT File?

Easy, you might think -- use the DEL command in the BAT file! But hold on a minute. On Vista, if I use the DEL command in a BAT file (or on the command line of a command window), Vista Media Center for some reason thinks that the DVR-MS file was deleted by mistake, and so schedules the programme to...

I use robocopy to copy selected recordings from our HTPC to our whs - but the recordings still show in the recorded tv section, as I want... so not sure it would help!
I suspect that it is the WHS that makes the difference. I am simply copying files to folders that reside in the Video section in...

That's interesting as I have not had one problem test restoring five 64 bit Win 7 clients. I had to use the PCI NIC for one PC. I have used it in a real life disaster recovery for a disk failure and it worked perfectly. That's good to know. I've never actually used it to do a full restore. My...

Occasionally when updating Nvidia drivers I see this appear. I usually strip them out and make sure to click the clean install button upon reinstallation. Always clears the issue for me.

Is there any way to force Media Center to keep the subtitles on a particular place? I like them on the bottom half of the screen but for some reason they will intermittently move up to the top of the screen. I can't seem to find any settings that impact the position. Maybe a regedit?

I think it really depends on many factors as to where they get positioned. In North America, CNN captions come up word for word, without spelling mistakes or booboo's (usually) so I think that could possibly be human input doing those. For recorded shows. movies etc., I would expect whole sentences...

I agree with STC also that a manual recording is best. If you just want to let media center try for you can use my suggestion, but as Rich said guide data isn't always accurate. I would still check Hulu for a quicker/on demand option that might be available depending on the show. No problem Rich I...
