Hello All,
Looking for help on this MC hang issue. So, I rebuilt Windows 7 OS on an existing system that is using Media Center already for years (2009). No new hardware changes expect a new SSD for the boot drive and the existing MC works still as I rebuilt this on a new SSD and change the cable to...

So I set up a new Windows 7 PVR last month - it was working fine with no issues, until Saturday when some recordings and some live TV started to stutter (audio normal, but the video sometimes drops from the normal FPS to like 5 FPS). Sometimes it is fixed by a restart of the computer, other times...

Have you checked the system log for drive errors? Run 'chkdsk :' to see what the OS thinks?
I think the answer to the replacement ? is largely subjective. I've read claims that an SSD is the only solution. Others, a 7200RPM 'spinner' is a must. Opinions will always vary. Choose the capacity you...

Changing TV tuners will require you to re-run WMC tv tuner setup. Cable card activation has nothing to do with WMC activation. (i.e. if you already set up WMC and it is working for some CC tuner it does not need to be re-activated). Cable card activation is something your Cable provider will do via...

That was my method. Create a VM and get it updated all the way.
